I was going to post my photos from our recent trip to Hakone this afternoon, but got sidetracked by a number of things, not least of which is this little music video from everyone's favourite 800-year-old Jedi master. Excellent stuff, and far more convincing than all that preposterous lightsaber-somersaulting.

Isn't 'the spinning top' style taught alongside 'preying mantis' and 'constipated buffalo' in all the good dojos?

I don't know about you, but it only took about a day for my initial delight at seeing Yoda kick ass with a lightsaber turn into utter horror at having had my childhood so comprehensively raped.

Oooh, I hadn't seen that one. Glad that I'm not the only one who thought that, though. It starts so well, with the lightsaber flipping out of its holster and into his hand, but then... ah well. I think I've officially stopped caring about Star Wars now. A terrible thing to have to say, but true.
